MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

- Loading and driving residents to medical appointments, church services, community work programs, interviews, recreational outings and other locations, as assigned.
- Keeping accurate, daily vehicle log records.
- Working with Health Care Dept. to complete necessary paperwork related to medical appointments.
- Reporting vehicle safety and/or maintenance problems to appropriate personnel.
- Fueling vehicles and ensuring each is ready for operation on a daily basis.
- Participating in appropriate in-service programs.
- Assisting with the cleaning of the vehicles as assigned.
- Communicating schedule changes with all necessary parties.
- Adhering to traffic laws, rules of the road, and established speed limits.
- Performing all other duties, as assigned.

- Previous experience working in a children’s camp, child care or classroom setting desired.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
- Assist in implementing activities that will facilitate learning, recreational and social development for children with disabilities and from varying backgrounds.
- Lead program activities and provide supervision to children in program.
- Serve as a resource to volunteers assisting with program.
- Follow Center and departmental policies and procedures.
- Assist in the training of new staff.
- Perform personal care duties and meal assistance safely and efficiently to ensure good hygiene of the children.
- Adhere to weekly program schedules and activities.
- Perform daily setup and cleanup of activities as needed.
- Assist the participants in the pool during free swim and lessons.
- Be willing to acquire lifeguarding certification if needed.
- Encourage independence and self-confidence for children within program.
- Utilize established behavior management techniques, where necessary, which are used in conjunction with Center policies and procedures.
- Maintain open communication with the Children & Youth Program Manager, Coordinator
- and Specialist regarding the status of participants and program.
- Attend mandatory in-service training sessions and staff meetings.
- Perform all other duties, as assigned.

Hours are flexible in accordance with the children and youth schedule, typically after school, schools out days and weekends
