Admission

All admissions begin with Respite Care.

At The Mary Campbell Center, the Respite/Admissions Coordinator coordinates admission for potential candidates who are interested in receiving respite care. After completion of an admission application, MCC team members will review information and reach out to schedule an interview with the Admissions Committee, if appropriate.  If the Admissions Committee determines that The Center can meet the needs of an applicant and their family, a trial respite stay is scheduled, with funding compliments of the Charma L. Welch Respite Scholarship Fund.  If the trial respite stay is successful, the applicant will be approved for respite care and future respite days may be scheduled, pending availability.

If an applicant or family is interested in placement on our residential waiting list, the applicant will work with the Admissions Coordinator to schedule an evaluation.  During this stay, The Center’s Interdisciplinary Team will complete an evaluation to be reviewed by the Admissions Committee, who will make a determination of appropriateness of placement on our waiting list.

"My living here means I have access to awesome speech therapists who have trained me to use my speech device. This means I can communicate, not only by talking, but also by e-mailing and texting. I can read books, listen to music, and control my environment by deciding to watch TV or movies, or just listen to the radio."
