Education

Lifelong learning is an essential piece of the active treatment approach, which is the foundation of the work we do every day at the Mary Campbell Center. Strengths and abilities are discovered in the Learning Center through a variety of dynamic activities that are customized to meet the needs of each resident.

Collaboration is key at the Center. As stated in the MCC Mission statement, a team of professionals and skilled care providers help individuals to DISCOVER, GROW AND CELEBRATE ABILITIES. The Education team partners with each resident, resident representative, and members of the Interdisciplinary Team to develop and provide individualized learning opportunities which promote independence, social interactions, cognitive growth, and communication skills.

Assistive Technology and adaptive equipment are utilized at various levels to enhance individual growth, promote independence, and personal achievement
